‘A Different World’ Meets ‘Grown-Ish’ As Kadeem Hardison Guest Stars

A new episode of grown-ish premiered Thursday night. It features a very special guest star in the form of Kadeem Harrison from A Different World.

The episode sees tensions rise as the big day arrives for the protective graduates of Cal U.

Written by Wade Allain-Marcus, Shiri Appleby directed the episode. 

Ahead of the premiere of season 4B, the cast talked about their experiences and expectations coming with the new season.

Yara Shahidi, who portrays Zoey, commented on the season saying, “I think this season, we all have a ton of really determined characters and I feel like in many ways, as much as you’ve seen them grow up, a lot of them have continued down the path that they said they were going to pursue when we first met them freshman year in terms of having these future careers,”

The series has shown its characters navigating a new world with their whole lives ahead of them after they graduate and the struggle that comes with the uncertainty of moving forward.

Diggy Simmons who plays Doug said of his experience on the show: “I think I learned this in real life while I was on the show and it’s that you never truly figure it out,”  he continued” It’s a continuous mission to know [and] see who you are, see what works for you, and see who works in your life and find out that there’s a season that will serve you differently than others. I think it’s just that we’ll always be getting better at this thing called life.”

The episode premieres Wednesday night on Freeform and it is available next day on Hulu.
