Cancelled- ‘The Real’ & Nick Cannon Show

Cancelled- ‘The Real’ & Nick Cannon Show

Another favourite daytime talk show is getting the axe. AllegedlyThe Real’ is getting cancelled. Insiders tell us that the show, which has been on for 8 seasons, will be ending soon.

The reasoning for the cancellation hasn’t been announced. It’s speculated that ratings played a major part in its end.

The Real is a syndicated talk show. Created by SallyAnn Salsano (495 Productions).

The series initially received a trial run on Fox-owned markets in the summer of 2013 and premiered for full syndication in 2014. Currently co-hosted by singer and actress Adrienne Bailon, comedian and actress Loni Love, television host and fashion stylist Jeannie Mai, and actress and model Garcelle Beauvais.

The Real’s alleged cancellation comes with reports that Nick Cannon’s talk show has also been axed. His show was on air for roughly 6 months and the comedian/host has yet to confirm the news.

There has been no official announcement to date from ‘The Real’.

The Real is a daily, one-hour talk show hosted by the dynamic team of Tamar Braxton, Tamera Mowry-Housley, Loni Love, Jeannie Mai and Adrienne Bailon on FOX television stations and in national syndication (check local listings), with a rebroadcast on cable network BET.

Led by five bold, diverse and outspoken hosts, these women reflect the home audience.

They unapologetically say what women are actually thinking. Their unique perspectives are brought to life through their candid conversations. On topics ranging from their own personal lives to the news of the day, to beauty, fashion and relationships.

Unlike other talk shows, each of the five hosts is admittedly a “work in progress,” and fearlessly invite the home audience into their lives. Their fresh points of view, youthful energy and passion have turned the traditional talk show on its head.

Not so good news for Nick Cannon latest TV venture. According to reports, his talk show is being canceled after just six months on the air.

Staff have yet to be informed. Many of them were already looking for new jobs because the outlook seemed bleak.

The struggling show ratings for the show showed “no signs of growth.”

Late last year, we reported that the show was reportedly struggling with ratings. At the time the show debuted.

At less than half a million viewers and receiving devastating reviews, the perennial television personality’s own syndicated program is not likely to stay on air much longer.
