Dr. Dre has agreed to Pay 100Mil to Ex-Wife Nicole.
According to our sources the rapper & Beats co-founder has agreed to a $100 million divorce settlement with ex-wife Nicole Young. The agreement will have Dre pay Young an immediate $50 million, with another $50 million one year from now.
Dre will also keep their real estate properties & rights to his music & stock options, including the money earned from his sale of Beats by Dre.
Young, meanwhile, will keep four vehicles: a Rolls Royce, Cadillac Escalade, motorcycle and Range Rover. She’ll also keep her clothing, jewelry, bags and furs, which are estimated to be worth millions.
A source connected to the rapper, 56, told the outlet that Young could’ve gotten a larger piece of his estate if she had settled a year ago.
Although it’s not exactly half, $100 million is a lot of money. TMZ says Dre is “delighted” Nicole only gets a fraction of his estate. Reports state that Dre agreed to pay their agreement; which will be split up in $50 million now and the rest a year later. Dre’s estimated net worth is $820 million. Some of you may recall from our previous reports that Nicole and Dre had a prenup put in place; hence why she didn’t receive half, even though she contested the agreement.
Now that the settlement has been reached. Dre gets to walk away from the divorce with the seven properties they owned; including a Malibu home, two homes in Calabasas, and four properties in the Los Angeles area. The L.A. property includes the Brentwood estate, worth $100 million.
In addition, Dre gets full rights to his master recordings, trademarks, and interests in various partnerships and trusts. The producer will also keep all of their Apple stocks; which includes the proceeds from the sale of his company Beats by Dre. Nicole also gets to walk away with some items of her own including; four vehicles they are dividing from a fleet of cars. Dre will receive six.
Nicole will also keep her jewelry, cash, and bank accounts that she had maintained during the marriage. However, she is responsible for paying her own legal fees, which totals millions of dollars. Roomies, do you think the settlement was fair?
