Jordan Peele Drops a First Look of New Horror Movie ‘Nope’

Just in time for Super Bowl Sunday, Jordan Peele is releasing the first teaser for his third directed film Nope.

Social media calls for a Nope teaser have paid off. After announcing his third film last July, Jordan Peele has unveiled a teaser for Nope. Re-teaming with Daniel Kaluuya (Get Out) and a star-studded cast including Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead) Keke Palmer (Scream), Michael Wincott (The Crow), Barbie Ferreira (Euphoria) and Brandon Perea (The OA).

Peele and Kaluuya first worked together on Get Out, in which the film was nominated in four categories. Winning for Best Original Screenplay.

The 32-second teaser begins with a montage of both Get Out and Peele’s 2019 film Us. Just before showing three consecutive shots of Kaluuya, Yeun and Palmer in different scenes, gazing upwards. The expressions could allude to the menacing poster for the film, which features an ominous cloud.

Nope will be apart of Jordan Peele’s five year partnership with Universal Pictures. The film is mysterious. It’s complete trailer will be released Super Bowl Sunday. Both Get Out and Us were thrillers with social commentary it’s likely Nope will follow that formula.

Based on the first look of the new horror movie Nope, do you think its a go or a no?

The film will have cinematography from Hoyte van Hoytema who’s contributed to Let the Right One In, Spectre, and the Christopher Nolan films Interstellar, Oscar-nominated film Dunkirk, and Tenet. Hoytema will also work on Nolan’s next film titled, Oppenheimer.

Nope will premiere worldwide on July 22nd from Universal Pictures.
