Watch the Trailer for Jordan Peele’s ‘Nope’

Watch the Trailer for Jordan Peele’s ‘Nope’ Starring Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, and Steven Yeun

Horses, wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube men, and maybe aliens take center stage with Kaluuya and Palmer in Peele’s new horror movie.

Jordan Peele’s upcoming horror movie, Nope, has premiered its first trailer on Super Bowl Sunday. Showcasing a terrifying threat from the sky.

Nope stars Keke Palmer and Daniel Kaluuya as Jill and James Haywood. Owners of the only Black-owned horse training ranch in Hollywood. The details of the plot are being kept unsurprisingly secret, we can piece together some clues from the clips in the trailer. It looks like Haywood Ranch is about to be put under siege by a monstrous–possibly extraterrestrial–force. Though it’s probably not going to be as simple, or as straightforward as little green men or lights in the sky, based on Peele’s other work.

Did you catch the split second glimpse of the woman with no lips? Or the very Jurassic Park-like glass box containing a horse? Judging by the apparent availability of alien-like plush toys, we can guess that the idea of space invaders isn’t completely unknown in this version of California. What any of this has to do with a strange kite-like tail hanging out of a cloud as featured in the poster? Still remains to be seen.

Nope hits theaters on July 22.
