New Trailer for Reboot of ‘Cheaper By The Dozen’ Released by Disney
Disney Plus dropped a new trailer for the upcoming reboot of Cheaper By The Dozen.
The film will focus on a married couple with ten children. The film stars Gabrielle Union, who received an NAACP award for her role in Being Mary Jane, and Zach Braff, who received an Emmy nomination for his role in Scrubs. The humour in the film is derived from the generational gap between the parents and children. Scenes in the trailer showing Braff’s character attempting to be cool in front of his kids by knowing about TikTok dances and attempting to perform a split. The conflict of the film will focus on the challenges in raising so many children under one house.
Gail Lerner will direct the film. Lerner has been nominated for an Oscar for her short film Seraglio. Which was nominated for six Emmy awards. Three of which were for Will and Grace and the other three were for Black-ish.
The 2022 film will be the third film adaptation of the story of Cheaper By The Dozen. Originally, an autobiographical book written by Frank Bunker Gilbreth Jr. and Ernestine Gilbreth Carey. This book was adapted into a film that premiered in 1950. This film was remade in 2003, starring Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt. While the 1950 and 2003 films focus on a family with twelve children, the family in the 2022 film has ten children.
Cheaper By The Dozen will be released on March 8th, 2022 on Disney Plus. Check out the trailer below.
