The Upshaws’ Trailer: Netflix Sitcom Brings Mike Epps, Wanda Sykes And Kim Fields Together
Netflix has dropped the very first trailer for the hotly-anticipated comedy series, The Upshaws. The series Black sitcom vet Regina Hicks and Wanda Sykes.
They are both showrunners on the series; which stars Mike Epps, Sykes, Kim Fields, Page Kennedy, Diamond Lyons, Khali Daniya-Renee Spraggins, Jermelle Simon, Gabrielle Dennis & Journey Christine.
The Description:
Bennie Upshaw (Mike Epps); the head of a Black working class family in Indianapolis. He’s a charming, well-intentioned mechanic & lifelong mess; just trying his best to step up and care for his family. Wife Regina (Kim Fields), their two young daughters (Khali Daniya-Renee Spraggins, Journey Christine) & firstborn son (Jermelle Simon). The teenage son (Diamond Lyons), he fathered with another woman (Gabrielle Dennis) — and tolerate his sardonic sister-in-law (Wanda Sykes), all without a blueprint for success. But the Upshaws are determined to make it work, and make it to the next level, together.
The Upshaws is co-created by Hicks and Sykes, who serve as executive producers alongside Mike Epps, Page Hurwitz and Niles Kirchner.
